Smile Friday! A little late but this was technically on Friday so it qualifies, okay?
Went to the R&R Gallery in downtown LA for an art show that my friend’s work was featured in; his was easily one of the best, it was absolutely gorgeous. In fact, it was so impressive that I’m commissioning him to create a painting for me and because he’s so great, he’s letting me do it fo $60 which is faaaar less than he deserves! I’m getting super excited about it and have deemed it my 21st birthday present to myself (hopefully it’ll be ready by August 8th). He asked me to come up with some keywords for him and I decided on: anthropology, complexity, genetics, beauty, nature. I already know I’m going to cherish this thing for the rest of my life; how often does one get to commission a piece of art from an artist they really admire?
